Ciao lovelies! Today for the last part of New Year, New You,
we are going to talk about Improving your Mental Health!
Throughout the year, OFT has posted a lot about mental health.
And that’s because we find mental health to be very important. The brain is an
organ just like the rest of the organs in your body and so just like physical
health, mental health should be taken seriously!
Here are some of our top Mental Health Tips and Resources!

Don’t neglect yourself. Make sure to practice self-care
often. If you’re unsure how to start practicing self-care, check out our post on how to make a Self-Care Box!

As long as your coping mechanisms are healthy,
there’s nothing wrong with them!

Make sure to always seek help when you need it.
Whether the help you need is just to vent to a friend, or is professional help,
either way always seek help when you’re in need.

Don’t suffer in silence. If you’re having
problems, talk to someone you trust.

Sometimes the key to pushing through a rough
patch like burnout, a depressive period, or low motivation is to make yourself do
smaller tasks first to get you in the mindset to complete the task you want to.

Part of the key to unravelling your anxious
thoughts is to assess why you’re anxious. Many times anxiety is caused by fear
of the unknown. If you try to find out as much as you can about what you’re anxious
about, it may help the anxiety.

Make sure to drink plenty of water and eat
healthy foods. This sounds like it wouldn’t have any effect on your mental
health, but it actually does!

On that note, make sure to get moderate amounts
of exercise, it doesn’t have to be much, even just going on a walk each day can
help.
