MOST ADORABLE GAME EVER? Slime Rancher Game Review!

Ciao lovelies! Today I will be reviewing the game “Slime Rancher” by Monomi Park! Is this possibly the most ADORABLE game EVER?

BACKGROUND:

According to Monomi Park’s press kit on the Slime Rancher Website, “Monomi Park is an independent game studio based out of sunny San Mateo, California. The studio was founded in 2014 by game designer Nick Popovich and software engineer Mike Thomas.” They also mention that Slime Rancher was their first game, selling over 9 Million times!

ABOUT SLIME RANCHER:

On their website, this is the official game description “Slime Rancher is a charming, first-person, sandbox experience. Play as Beatrix LeBeau: a plucky, young rancher who sets out for a life a thousand light years away from Earth on the ‘Far, Far Range.’ Each day will present new challenges and risky opportunities as you attempt to amass a great fortune in the business of slime ranching. Collect colorful slimes, grow crops, harvest resources, and explore the untamed wilds through the mastery of your all-purpose vacpack.”

 I would describe this game as “A supremely adorable first-person game. Start your slime ranch with pink slimes and work your way up through selling plorts. You can focus on plort selling or focus on exploration or even focus on slime collecting! This game has something for everyone.”

CONTROLS:

I found this game easy to play. You move using the basic WASD keys. You use the mouse to suck up things into your vacpack and shoot them out. It’s pretty easy to figure out for someone like me who doesn’t play first-person video games that often (I like RPG’s and such mostly).

PRICE:

This game’s website lists the game for $19.99. On Steam, it is $9.99.

These slimes are ADORABLE. Seriously, I love them and pack-bonded to them almost immediately. Each slime type has a different personality!

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

I love this game and HIGHLY recommend it. If you get a chance to get this game, GET IT. It is so relaxing, calming, and fun! I have invested many, many hours into this game and I still have not seen everything it has to offer. It is fabulous.
