Ciao lovelies! Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019! Today I
figured I’d talk a little about my resolutions for this year, and whether I
kept my resolutions for last year, as well as reflect a little on this past
year and all that has happened to me.
2018 was a very busy and full year for me. I took a great trip to West VA with my family, went to a
convention (ROF-con), and spent lots of time with family and friends. I also
got the amazing opportunity to be a Peer Advisor in my college, which I
enjoyed, and made many great memories with my friends.
Something I wanted to talk about in this post is my resolutions
for last year, and whether I managed to accomplish them, and why or why not.
So here were my last year’s resolutions:
Did I achieve them? Well….
“Dress Nice At Least 2 Times Per Week” – I definitely think
I managed this one. Pushing myself to dress up even when I’m not in that mood
really was a goal for me, as I really wanted to take control of myself again
and how I present myself to the world. (To see some of my outfits, check out my
personal Instagram! I have a whole outfits highlight!)
“YouTube Videos at least 2 Per Month”- I definitely underestimated
how hard it is to make a YouTube video when I made this resolution. I did not
achieve this resolution because simply it is very difficult to make a YouTube
video as it is, and it’s much harder in college/university.
“Better GPA!”- Well, I definitely got better grades, but unfortunately
my GPA only went up by 0.1….ugh. I really hate how my school weighs GPA.
“Longer Blog Posts”- I think I somewhat achieved this, but
towards the end of the year I dropped off a little. I really need to work on
QUALITY vs QUANTITY. I sometimes stress so hard about having to put out more
content that I let quality fall, and I really shouldn’t.
So, what are my resolutions this year?
1.
Not let anyone change me, just be myself.
2.
Increase the QUALITY of my blog posts and not
worry about quantity.
3.
Get an internship, and a job for when I get out
of school.
4.
Focus on Gratitude, Love, Kindness and
Happiness. Value these above all else.
5.
Have more fun. Yes, still make sure to do what
needs to be done, like homework and such, but still make time to have fun.
6.
Take care of myself and be less hard on myself.
Try to increase my self-esteem instead of tearing myself down.
These resolutions mean a lot to me. I want 2019 to be a year
of personal growth and focused on happiness and kindness.
