Cringe Culture is Dead, and Good Riddance

Ciao lovelies! Today, I’m writing an opinion piece for the first time in a while. Today’s topic is the idea that this prevalent toxic “cringe culture” that has been around for a while is finally clearing up.

What is Cringe Culture? Cringe culture is the toxic culture in which people make fun of others and their interests for being “cringy” , “embarrassing”, etc. Sometimes this even wears off on individuals and makes them hate themselves, stop doing what they love, become embarrassed by their hobbies, etc.

This is an especially prevalent mindset in fandoms. People are ashamed of old fanfiction, Roleplay’s, and fan art and OC’s.

But there’s no need to be ashamed.

Your interests and hobbies are not embarrassing. Your old fan art, OC’s, fan fiction, art, fiction, anything is NOT embarrassing. Everyone starts somewhere and grows from there. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about.

I have been seeing more and more posts of people accepting their old art, going back to old fandoms, enjoying things again.

Nothing is cringy!

Cringe culture is dying!

Yay! Let’s end it together!

Sorry this post is short, I am trying to post something on this topic, and I have tons of schoolwork. I promise the next post will be better.
