Ciao lovelies! Today, we’re talking about….Back to School!
Before you groan, relax! We’re talking about how to have the BEST school year
ever!
A lot, and I mean a LOT of people dislike school. Sometimes
people get bullied, or involved in drama, or just don’t like their classes. But
together, we can make you love school again! Yes, seriously!
Let’s look at this through problem-solution style, shall we?
Let’s look at the top 3 reasons people don’t like school:
-Drama
-Don’t like classes
-Boredom
Let’s start with drama. A lot of people get involved with
drama at some point during middle-high school. I even did! Drama can make
school not fun to go to and can even leave you with a sick feeling in your
stomach. How do we avoid drama at school?
-Don’t get involved with other people’s drama. If someone
else is having a situation, the best thing to do is stay out of it. If your friend
is involved, you can stand up for her, but try not to make enemies with anyone.
Avoiding other people’s drama will lower your own risk of getting your own
drama.
-Defuse your own drama. If you get involved in a situation
directly, try to defuse it. Don’t give in to someone bullying you, for example.
Never reply to insults, never insult others. Make sure to try and talk your friends
out of starting drama. They’ll thank you for it later.
-Report bullying. Yes, reporting bullying can stop drama at
the source- usually a bully. If you see bullying, report it. I’m sure your
fellow students will thank you.
Let’s now address the problem of not liking your classes. I
personally hated math, until I tried these tricks and discovered a little more
about myself.
-Think about why you dislike the class. For me, it was
because math was hard, and not creative. I wanted to make things, not solve
equations. So I started coming up with creative solutions to equations and I
had a much better time in math.
-Make sure you don’t hate a class because of bigger reasons.
I realized that another reason I was so bad at math was because whenever I looked
at numbers, I had a tendency to mix them up. I talked to my therapist and found
out that this was called “dyscalculia,” which is similar to “dyslexia,” except
instead of mixing up letters, I mixed up numbers. Make sure that you don’t hate
a class because of a learning disorder!
-Your attitude can actually effect how good you are in a
class. If you at least PRETEND to like a class, not only will you soon actually
enjoy the class, you will be better at it too!
Lastly, let’s talk about the problem of boredom. Yes, I’ll
admit school can be boring, but here’s why it’s really not:
-You get to see your friends every day!
-You get to learn something new every day!
-At the beginning of the year, you get new school supplies,
which means new notebooks to doodle in!
The most important thing to remember about the new school
year is that:
YOU GOT THIS!
I promise you, you will do great! Everything
always seems worse than it really is and that holds true about school too.
What do you think about school now? Are you excited for a new start or still fear the year? Let us know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading, and we'll see you in our next post!
Stay lovely!
