How to Beat an Escape Room : 5 SUPER HELPFUL Tips

Ciao lovelies! Recently, my friends and I went to an escape room and we beat it! So now I’m sharing 5 SUPER helpful tips on how to beat an escape room with you all!

This past Friday my squad and I teamed up and went to CrackThe Code Escape Room in Staunton, VA. We beat our escape room with 36 seconds to spare, so now I’ve got 5 amazing tips for you all to beat an escape room too!

#1- Assess, strategize, attack.

When you first walk in the room, stop. Assess the room. Look at the details. Look at the obvious puzzles. Strategize. What do you go after first? Attack. Start going after the first puzzle you selected.

#2- Ask for Clues/Hints.

Don’t be afraid to ask for clues or hints, your pride will not help you escape the escape room. Clues will help you win.

#3- Don’t spend too much time on any one puzzle.

If you’re struggling with a puzzle, ask your friends for help or ask for a clue. Don’t spend more than 10 minutes on a puzzle.

#4- Don’t get mad at each other.

You need everyone on their A-game, so don’t shout or scream at each other. You want to win, but you also want to keep those friendships in-tact.

#5- COMMUNICATE.

ALWAYS make sure to communicate EVERYTHING that’s going on to the other members of your team. Communication can help you get out of the room faster! And with less stress. Always listen to the other members of your team too.
