How to Make DIY Essential Oil Diffuser (BONUS- PRINTABLE COLORING PAGE!)

Ciao lovelies! Today I’m going to be telling you how to make a DIY essential oil diffuser, which doubles as both cool chic room décor and also is good for your mental health!

What You’ll Need:

A glass bottle (somewhat small), a few diffuser reeds, essential oils (I used Vanilla, Lavender, and Peppermint), water, a pipette, and stickers to decorate your bottle

Step One: Decorate your bottle however you want it to look!

Remember that this can double as room décor, so decorate it in any way that you think it will look nice in your room.

I decorated mine with some stickers that say “Good Vibes,” “Inner Peace,” and “Self-Love.”

Step Two: Fill your bottle with water about 2/3 full.

Step Three: Add your essential oils using the pipette.

I wanted the scent of mine to be strong. So I added 20 drops of each oil that I put in (Lavender, Vanilla, and Peppermint).

Step Four: Add the reeds and display!

This DIY is super easy, looks super chic in your room, and the essential oils can help your mental health because….

-Lavender is GREAT for anxiety. It’s a super calming scent to include in your diffuser.

-Peppermint is said to be good for calming nerves.

You could also add other essential oils to your diffuser like Citrus Scents (grapefruit, lemon, orange, etc) for a mood boost. Or even scents like lemongrass, rosemary, etc. Just be sure to do some research on the essential oils you choose. They may have other effects like how Tea Tree Oil has negative effects on pets.
Overall, it’s THAT simple to make your own Essential oil diffuser. Only 4 steps, so why not make your own today? Are you going to make one? Share your creations with us by tagging @onlyfunthingsblog on Instagram or use #OFTreaders to get noticed!
